The Maritime RobotX Challenge consists of 15 student teams from five Pacific Rim countries – U.S., Singapore, Australia, South Korea and Japan. Each team will use a standard maritime platform that they will outfit with sensors, computers and software. The vehicles will be required to complete a course based on a variety of maritime surface vehicle missions.
The 16 WAM-V® (Wave Adaptive Modular Vessel) USx has been developed specifically for the Maritime RobotX Challenge. It is derived from the WAM-V® (Wave Adaptive Modular Vessel) technology. The WAM-V is built by Marine Advanced Research, Inc.
